Ventilation Systems

Ventilation is the process whereby bad or contaminated air is replaced with fresh cleaner air. The air inside our homes is full of potentially harmful particles and unless adequate ventilation is maintained this air will be seriously compromised. It is full of potentially harmful particles which are generally recognised as being the prime cause of New Zealand’s very high rates of asthma and respiratory diseases. High moisture levels responsible for condensation, mould and mildew growth is one of the visible and most recognisable symptoms or consequences of poor in-door air quality. Through a process of controlled ventilation the air in the home is constantly but gently being changed, eliminating excess moisture and ensuring a much healthier level of air within our homes.

Ventilation and heat recovery has never before been available in a package specifically tailored to New Zealand climatic conditions and building methods at an affordable price comparable to existing forced air ventilation solutions. When there is no heat to recover the unit includes a small capacity heater to ensure air is always delivered at a temperature which will not have a negative impact on the temperature of a home.
The HX heat exchanger is also able to extract warmth from the roof space generated through solar gain by day without specifically using the roof space. This air is not always fresh and in some homes is damp and musty. At night the HX can be switched to source only the warmer indoor air to heat the incoming fresh air.

It is even possible to extract the warmth from the “wet” areas of our home, such as your bathroom and kitchen and recover the heat that would otherwise be lost to us with natural or mechanical ventilation methods.

Our system opens a door to energy efficient ventilation when our planet needs all the help we can provide.

BENEFITS

  • Prevents Condensation in winter
  • Reduces heat demand
  • Heat transfer from warmer areas of the home
  • Efficiently recovers potentially lost heat and recycles it back into the home.
  • Heat reduction and night time cooling in summer
  • Filters, cleans and purifies the fresh air

HEAT EXCHANGE SYSTEMS ARE A QUANTUM LEAP FORWARD IN DELIVERING ENERGY EFFICIENT VENTILATION

It is the way our system utilizes existing heat from within the home and the energy efficient way it extracts and reuses this heat that brands it as the “true” heat recovery/plate heat exchange system of our age. The efficient use of energy is necessary for many reasons and improvements to how we heat and maintain healthy, warmer homes are very important. We believe the arrival of the moistureMASTERtm HX to the New Zealand market is a quantum leap forward in delivering energy efficiency in ventilation.

Heating
A heatpump can give up to $4.50 worth of heating for every $1 of power. And combined with the right insulation your cost of heating can go down from $100 to $20 per month!

Double Glazing
Up to 31% of your home’s heat can escape through your windows. Double glazing can decrease this heat loss by 69%, reduce outside noise by up to 70% and eliminate condensation forming.

Insulation
Nearly 1 million New Zealand homes were built before insulation became mandatory in 1977 (BRANZ Study Report No. 142).An estimated 300,000 of our homes still have little or no insulation. These homes are cold, draughty and waste energy.
