Installation is a breeze

Clause H1 of the New Zealand Building Code covers energy effi ciency and minimum insulation levels for homes.

The minimum level of insulation needed to achieve compliance depends on a number of factors including climate zone, house design, amount and orientation of glazing, construction detail, numbers of downlights and timber framing content.

For example, closer stud and dwang spacing or a high number of downlights may require a higher R value insulation to be installed.

We have looked at the most common wall and roof constructions currently being used in New Zealand. Our recommendations are based on compliance using the Schedule method, as outlined in NZS 4218:2004.
